FIRST - I am a musician but I play the Piano. I do not know if this highly sought after Peavey tube guitar amp is working or not. I do not play the guitar and I do not have one to test it. I purchased this sight UNSEEN knowing it did not work. I replaced ALL the electrolytic Capacitors in the amp & I used name brand caps from DIGIKEY. I saved all the old capacitors along with the receipt for the NEW CAPACITORS that I will include. Please note that I have been doing AV repair for over 50 Years starting when everything had TUBES in them. I was a factory authorized for Zenith and RCA products. I tried to test the amp using the output of a CD player and it seemed like it was over driven and did not sound very good unless the volume on the Ultra gain was set to 1. There is a wooden board on the back that goes across the top half that I believe the reverb unit is normally mounted to but it is MISSING as pictured. The reverb unit is Included and is in a Vinyl Pouch that can be placed across the bottom of the AMP. I do not have the FOOT control and as I understand it is an important part to have. Without the foot control the only controls that are working are the Ultra Gain. This amp has a pair of GT-6L6B tubes (GROOVE TUBE) that sell for $90 Each on Amazon - However the key is broken on one of them so you must be carefull when installing one output tube, There is 1 12AT7 Tube and 4 12AX7 for a total of 7 tubes with a 60 WATT output. I believe the amp is working but may need further repairs or modificartions so I am listing it AS-IS. I know the reverb is working because if you bump it while it is on you can hear it " ECHO ". If you want to pick this up in Canton Ohio to save on shipping I live about 2 miles from the Pro Football Hall Of Fame just off of I77. The AMP is in a large heavy 45 Lb Box so shipping may be expensive.
