You are looking at a Verstappenshop.nl exclusive of the 1:43 Red Bull-Honda RB16B diecast model of newly crowned Four-Time Formula 1 World Champion and third in the F1 all-time winners list Max Verstappen - made by resin and diecast German model manufacturer Minichamps (Product Code: 413 211333). The 2021 Belgian Grand Prix would be the first race since the four-week summer break, with championship contender Max Verstappen looking to bounce back from successive setbacks in Silverstone (where title rival Sir Lewis Hamilton took him out, yet still won the race at his expense) and Hungary (where a mistake from Valtteri Bottas sent Lando Norris skating into the side of Max's Red Bull, causing consequential damage that limited him to a ninth place finish as Hamilton netted second to take the championship lead). He duly took pole position in wet conditions in Qualifying, with himself and Hamilton being split by a shock performance from Williams' George Russell, who netted second and a front row start The race itself, however, at least in the sense of green flag racing, didn't happen at all. With the rain almost monsoon in nature by race day and the new generation of downforce heavy cars seemingly unable to race in such conditions, two formation laps took place behind the Safety Car after an initial 25-minute start delay, before the red flag was shown. A further three hours would elapse before a second attempt was made to start the race, this time with two laps behind the Safety Car counting towards the 44-lap race, before another red flag was waved at the start of lap three, only this time the race result would be declared, awarding half-points to the top ten drivers. This "race" would go on record to be the shortest ever held in a World Championship event, as well as the only one to date not to have any kind of green flag running. The aftermath would be full of criticism from commentators and the media, anger among fans against F1 and its decision makers, and comparisons of this farcial event being made to the 2005 United States Grand Prix which saw only six cars run, only the full event was held then. Max Verstappen only gained five points on Hamilton from the half points win, but it would begin a shift in momentum towards the Dutchman in his ultimately successful quest for a first F1 title. On 23rd November 2024, Max claimed a fourth F1 title at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix in Nevada, equaliing the records of Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel. He is third in the all-time F1 winners list with 62 wins in his career. The model features Max's Red Bull Racing-Honda RB16B from the farcial 2021 Belgian Grand Prix event. It is Edition #67 in the Max Verstappen Collection from his personal webshop Verstappenshop.nl, and is a limited edition, example 307 of 525 pieces worldwide. The RB16B model in this race comes with a unique, modified rear wing that shows the top profile having a small curve at each end. It also comes with Pirelli's Full Wet Cinturato tyres. The model and lid are both in new condition and comes with a cellophane sleeve.
