You are looking at a special Verstappenshop.nl exclusive of the 1:43 Red Bull Racing-Honda RB16B diecast model of newly crowned Four-Time Formula 1 World Champion and third in the F1 all-time winners list Max Verstappen - made by resin and diecast German model manufacturer Minichamps (Product Code: 413 212633) The 2021 Turkish Grand Prix was held in place of the would be return of the Japanese Grand Prix due to the still ongoing global virus pandemic, for which Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Alpha Tauri had planned special tribute liveries for their (now temporarily) outgoing engine supplier Honda. While the latter had a slight special update of Japanese characters for their AT02, Red Bull went a step further and completely ditched their traditional corporate racing livery, in favour of a full "Arigato Honda" livery, with the car having a primary white design in nod to Honda's RA272, which was the first Japanese car to win a Formula 1 race at the 1965 Mexican GP. Max Verstappen retook the championship lead from Sir Lewis Hamilton, with his Mercedes rival finishing only fifth after a gamble on new inters backfired. The Red Bull driver was powerless, however, to stop Hamilton's teammate, Valtteri Bottas, from storming to victory from pole position and settled for second place, ahead of his own teammate Sergio Perez, to complete a double podium for the one weekend only white Bull. On 23rd November 2024, Max claimed a fourth F1 title at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix in Nevada, equaliing the records of Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel. He is third in the all-time F1 winners list with 62 wins in his career. The model features Max's special liveried Red Bull Racing-Honda RB16B as it raced to second place at the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix. It is a Verstappenshop.nl exclusive from Max's own personal webshop (Edition #71) and is a limited edition model, example 1,858 of 2,000 pieces worldwide. It recreates the beautiful white "Arigato Honda" livery the team adopted for that race, with Japanese characters for Arigato (Thank you) written ahead of the Honda E-Technology logos, and on the rear side of the rear wing. The model and lid are both in new condition and comes with a cellophane sleeve. Thanks for looking :)
