Description
McGohan M102 10 Watt Tube Amplifier Guitar Harmonica harp EL84 x2 good working amplifier for all kinds of uses. uses two 6BQ5 (EL84), and some 6 volt preamp tubes tested in the video, straight in to the amp, no pedal. I used a Direct Box to transform the 1/4" guiatr cable to the XLR mic/instrument type input on the amp. ...Whoa..have mercy ! this thing is a fire breather, clean sound up to about 20% volume then starts to get crunch, and at about 75% volume (the max setting in this video) the amp gets glorious distortion and feedback. the tone controls are very responsive as well, with fat bass (dialed in at about 50%) and the treble control can get to some ear splitting high frequencies (same as bass, set at about 50%) No hum, three prong AC cable installed, one or two caps were replaced...this thing is ready to rock. NOTE: the XLR input as being used..so if you want guitar, use a cheap DI box, or solder in a 1/4" jack, for harp mic this thing is plug and play amp is old, looks old, has rust, but under the hood it is very clean and no dents or damage TERMS OF SALE: guaranteed good working old tube amp, for pros only, requires knowledge to utilize.
