Description
Description Designed in the early 90s with wide range and high speed in mind, with digital compatibility in mind. Since it is a "normal" sounding amplifier in many ways, at first listen you may not notice much difference from a transistor amplifier, but it certainly produces a sound that is a blend of suppleness and mellowness that transistor amplifiers do not have. It has a wide bandwidth and good S/N ratio. Many amplifiers using KT88 tend to emphasize a sense of projection and power, but this MA88 is well-designed, with a three-dimensional sound and a smooth connection between sounds. The fact that it does not demand power and only outputs 45W shows Lux's emphasis on sound quality in its design. Features and Remarks Output 45Wx2(6Ω) KT88 push-pull OY-36 reproduction transformer 12-contact input attenuator Features and Remarks This well-designed amplifier has a firm sense of stability and produces a smooth, three-dimensional sound. Features and Remarks Both channels have been replaced with new KT88's and the bias has been adjusted. Features and Remarks One of the 5U4G connectors has a broken guide pin, but it can still be used, but care must be taken when inserting it in the wrong direction.
