KT88 x4 Based Vintage Tube Amp Pace Engineering Co. Hollywood CA 1950's 60's Overall good physical shape for age, this Amp came out of a vintage Rack Cabinet, the last photo shows the name plate on the front of the rack, this amp appears to be a custom vintage amp credited to the Pace Engineering Co of North Hollywood CA. The Amp is a beast very heavy , it is based on the KT88 Tube and had 2 of them in it when found but has 4 Kt88 sockets. There were other amps in the rack with similar layouts and KT88 Tubes. We slowly fired it up on a variac and it came on and the tubes all lit and got hot including KT88's that we had in, we did not do any other testing as we only wanted to power it up for a few minutes. We are NOT including the KT88 tubes , all other tubes are included as shown. It is being sold As-Is, As Shown due to its age, and will most likely need cap changes and other items for proper operation, it does not have a fuse wired in, and would also need a new Grounded cord & Layout installed for safety. Nice original Amp, I bet this thing really Sings when ready to go, most likely came from a school or large building and that's why it needed high power. Got some questions on Transformer power, looks like the KT88's are being powered by the Thordarson 22r35 transformer 400-0-400 800ct 340ma. see photos. * Shipped with great care, double boxed & insured.
