Rebuildingold vintage amplifiers is just a hobby to me. I try to keep things original asmuch as possible. But old electronics can have issues such as being out oftolerance or just bad. I typically replace pots, resistor & capacitors. Thiswas a fun project guitar amplifier. It is a 10-to-15 watts guitar amplifier witha typical Fender style tone circuit. Whileworking on it I basically had replace everything. I had to replace the powerand output transformers. I also replaced the tube sockets, added a 3-pronggrounded power cord and it is fused. There is an impedance selector switch of4-8-16 ohm speaker cabinet. Thetubes are the vintage ones that came with it when I got it off eBay. They are aGE 5Y3GT rectifier tube, a pair of RCA 6AQ5A power tubes, a RCA 6CA phaseinverter and then a Realistic 12AX7A pre-amp. It is wired as a typical Fenderinput of volume, treble and bass. The knobs are original for this unit. Theenclosure is an anodized copper finish. This makes a good practice guitaramplifier. Althoughit was a fun project and I nearly had to replace most of the components, it isbeing sold as is. Feel free to rebuilt it for your needs. I thought of usingEL84s for the power tubes but that would require replacing the 7-pin with 9-pinsockets. Also, I do not think they would fit in the enclosure. The tubes willbe removed for shipping. Iaccept PayPal and ship US only. Check out my other eBay items.
