Decware “Zen” SE84UFO custom plinth (I used the pictures from my last plinth sold, I will post current pictures of the actual plinth for auction as soon as available, it will be identical to this one with same walnut material and same finishes, I will be listing one more after this one has sold, any questions please send me a message) This auction is for a “wood cradle only” for a Decware SE84UFO Zen amplifier. (see the dimensions below). I’ve built a few of these out of different material, all of them for the SE84UFO and will post them here on ebay auction in the upcoming weeks. The Zen SE84UFO will slide into the plinth and push as far forward as you can. Due to the volume control I built the plinth as short as possible but with clearance to drop in the box which will leave approximately 1/8” gap to the back panel of the plinth. (see picture). The front clearance hole is a 1-¼” and the smaller volume control hole is 9/16” which allows you to use a Decware gold round knob which is $12.99 at Decware. You will have to modify a small Allen wrench to tighten the little set screw. The Allen I modified is a little shorter than it needs to be, you can leave it a little longer than I did and still have the clearance you need to tighten the set screw. This plinth will only work with the Decware “Zen” SE84UFO or other Decware Zen’s with these dimensions (these are the dimensions of the SE84UFO amplifier with the rubber feet attached on the bottom): 6-1/8” wide x 11-1/4” deep x 2-1/2” tall (this dimension includes rubber feet) Material: Walnut Stain: MINWAX – Honey 272, 1 coat (bottom is “True Black 274”), 1 coat Clear: MINWAX POLYURETHANE – warm satin, 3 coats (only 1 coat of clear on the inside) If you have any questions please send them to me and I will answer them as soon as possible.
