Description

This was the Intermediate Power Amplifier (IPA) section of a Collins high power FM broadcast transmitter vintage mid 1970’s. 10 to 20 watts would be applied at the BNC jack. Output coupling from above the doorknob caps to the final tube, (it was a 4CX15,000A) was about 400 watts to drive the final. The small metal paddle was used for neutralization. Plate voltage would be applied at the coil L4. Parts include two Eimac 4CX250B tubes, two Eimac SK620A sockets, two Eimac SK606 chimneys, 230v to 6v filament transformer, two air variable capacitors, two 500 ohm rheostats for bias adjust, doorknob caps, power resistors, silver plated brass components, and more. Offered to the Ham Radio community for your tube amp project. Tube quality is unknown but was working when removed. Been in storage for many years. Requires high voltage power supply to work again. Top plate and doorknob caps removed for shipping.
