Bottlehead Quickie/PJCCS/Quicksand Amplifiers Thank you for looking! Everything I sell is personally owned or my family has owned, I am not a business or store. I bought these direct from Bottlehead back in the day and built them myself. I got them as a set which is how I ended up with matching acrylics The are tested working, but please read the description. The tube amp is pretty brilliant for what it is, the PJCCS add-on is installed. I had a amp in repair for a couple months and used this preamp myself for a while and frankly I was pretty happy waiting for my other equipment to get back The Quicksand on the other hand, is kind of poor for audio quality. I initially checked with Bottlehead back in the day on it and they said it was really just an experimenters kit and that was to be expected. It picks up a fair amount of noise, and for amp on a chip it's probabyl expected. For the tube amp, I tested using batteries, for the power amp I simply used an 18v supply clipped in as I didn't have enough C-Cells for it. It comes with printed copies of the manuals in a binder for your reference. The best usage for this is the basis for a modification project - I would not plan to run a battery powered tube amp long term. The wood was stained with a black-colored rub on type of stain. I did not make any modifications to the design myself, it was just assembled matching the provided instructions. I will ship them in a 18x12x12 box with a lot of packaging. The wood is only glued together, I expect it to hold up, but you could end up with needing to slightly reglue the sides. Only the tubes will be pulled to facilitate packaging, the rest of the components will stay in place. I would really prefer a in-person pickup on this one, but it's listed with appropriate shipping here for FedEx. This is a US only shipping item. I have a non-smoking home. _gsrx_vers_1653 (GS 9.7.5 (1653))
