This listing is for a Pair of 3 Chassis 805 Tube Amplifiers Made under Western Electric & ATT Patents. The manufacturer of the amplifiers was Schulmerich under the Patents of American Telephone and Telegraph and Western Electric. I think they were made sometime in the late 1950's to early in the 1960's and use a pair of 805 transmitting tubes as output tubes. From what I understand the amplifiers are somewhere between 250 to 300 watts of tube power each. Each amplifier consists of 3 chassis. One chassis for the power supply and uses a pair 3B28 rectifier tubes. One chassis as the amplifier audio output chassis using a pair of 805 tubes. One chassis which is the driver amplifier and uses 6L6/5881 tubes as the drivers along with 6SN7, 6SJ7 and other tubes. The amplifiers come in their original cabinets and were working when they were pulled out of service quite a few years ago. The dims of each cabinet is about 66 1/2" high, 22" wide and 17" deep with a we ight of about 250 to 300 pounds each. They were used to power Carillons and have the timing clocks and mechanisms to run carillons. They also probably have quite a few different audio applications that they could be used in. These amplifiers were in working condition when they were taken out of service and replaced with newer solid state equipment. I have not tested the amplifiers so they will have to be sold for parts or repair. As I mentioned they were operating when they were taken out of service. These are quite rare and would be nice addition to a collection and I have listened to a pair that I had gotten up and running and the amplifiers sounded great. Due to age and not being tested they are being sold for Parts or Repair they are therefore not returnable and not refundable the amplifiers are being sold AS IS and As Found If you are interested in more of these amps I have another 4 or 5 pairs.
